La Voix du Luthier has designed two new speakers, without speaker cones !

The Onde and Pyramid were unveiled at ContinuuCon (the Haken Continuum Fingerboard conference), held this year at the prestigious Institut de Recherche et Coordination Acoustique/Musique (IRCAM) in central Paris, and then presented at SuperBooth 2018.
These self-powered speakers, designed in collaboration with Haken Audio, give the sound of a luthier’s expertise in acoustics to any electronic musical instrument.

– Spring Sound

SpringSound is a physical-modeling audio synthesizer that produces sounds by simulating interactions and vibrations of a set of activators, and masses connected to springs. The model offers detailed control of an array of features including: gravity, bouncing, fluid and static friction, mechanical limits, non-linear functions, and more.It can be used as a sound generator or as an effect using its Audio-In feature.

SpringSound also integrate a IOS Remote Control for the Haken Continuum (iPad only) easing preset selection,  Continuum configuration and live preset tweaking.

– Anckorage-Spring

Anckorage-Spring is also a physical modelling audio synthesiser based on the simulation of a set of connected mass-spring. It is the little brother of SpringSound and can bee seen as a kind of fully functional prototype. It contains all the basics of SpringSound but has significantly fewer features and a much less comprehensive GUI… but it is already a very good physical model, and it is free !

Note that Anckorage-Spring is an old application and is not maintained anymore
